Summer is in full swing and with it we want summer inspired
makeup looks, glowy skin, and minimal to no heavy foundation. The Estee Edit by
Estee Lauder has just the product for you! Before I get into this beauty
product review I just want to say, though it would be a dream come true to be
sponsored by Estee Lauder, alas they are not paying me to rave about this cool
new product. You guys can always count on my honesty and trustworthy opinions
to be genuine when it comes to beauty and fashion. The reason why I wanted to
review and talk a little bit more about this product is that a few months back,
when this new line by Estee Lauder first launched, I wrote a blog post about
some of the outstanding products from the line. Click here http://twilightdelight.tumblr.com/post/143166428705/the-estée-edit-by-estee-lauder
now if you would like to read more on that! Now that it is summer I have gotten
so much more use out of this product and I wanted to tell you guys a little bit
more about what to expect if you decided to try it for yourselves.
Let me begin by saying, if you guys have tried the BECCA backlight
primer, you will love this product by the Estee Edit. So what is it exactly?
This product is a complexion hybrid that pairs hydrating skincare ingredients
with instant illumination. Now when I heard that I knew I had to get my hands
on this product. So not only does it act as an amazing illuminating base for
foundation, on its own it is also a skincare product to help make your skin
look plump and radiant.
This product claims to give you instantly gorgeous skin! Um
I don’t know about that per say, but it does give the skin an instant sheen and
glowiness that gives your complexion and nice dewy finish. I have been using
this product to wear when I don’t want to pile on the cakey foundation and I
just want to give my skin a live boost. That being said this product does
contain hyaluronic acid, which by definition restores the moisture to your skin
and helps hydrate the skin for a plum radiant look. Let’s see how many times I
can say plum and radiant in a post lol. But its true you guys, this amazing product
does it for me. It is also formulated
with a blend of micro-fine pearls for a soft, luminous glow, the lightweight,
non-sticky balm glides effortlessly over skin for a baby soft finish, but don’t
take my word for it. Just take a look at the images. Yes, it does make you skin
feel soft as well.
As a stated before you can wear this product as a highlight,
to strobe your whole face if you wish, as blush, or use it in with your
foundation for an all over glow. You can also use it all over your skin mixed
in with your favorite body lotion.
So what else can I tell you about this product? It retails
for $28, which in the grand scheme of things is extremely affordable for the
versatility you get. It comes in five glowing skin shades, perfect for any skin
color. I am an NC20 in MAC foundations, with light neutral olive undertones so
I chose the shade in Morning Light. It has a light to medium skin color tone
with pearlized gold shimmer mixed in. This product does not have glitter in it.
It acts more like a liquid highlighter than a powder glitter if that makes
sense.
